Public/Private Ventures Appoints New President

P/PV's board of directors has chosen Nadya K. Shmavonian as the organization's next president. Ms. Shmavonian—whose formal tenure begins January 1, 2010—brings extensive experience to the role. She has served as a senior executive, a board member and a consultant to a wide range of prominent foundations and nonprofits.

New Report Shows Employment Programs For Young Fathers Can Increase Earnings and Child Support Payments

P/PV announces the release of Working Dads: Final Report on the Fathers at Work Initiative. Funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Fathers at Work was a national demonstration that provided a unique combination of job training and placement, child support and fatherhood services through six well-established community-based organizations.
