Nurse-Family Partnership Celebrates 10 Years of Replication in Pennsylvania!
Nurse-Family Partnership and P/PV celebrated a decade of home-visiting programs for low-income Pennsylvania families at an event in Harrisburg. P/PV President Nadya K. Shmavonian spoke at the event, along with Department of Public Welfare Secretary Harriet Dichter and Former Pennsylvania First Lady Michele Ridge (pictured above with a group of nurses). Nurse-Family Partnership home visitors currently serve more than 3,000 families a day in 40 of the state's 67 counties. To see more photos of the event, visit P/PV's Facebook page.



The Nurse-Family Partnership Featured in USA Today
This article highlights the short-term and long-term health benefits of the program, as well as its cost effectiveness. P/PV has been involved in the replication of the Nurse-Family Partnership for over a decade, and currently focuses on developing the program in the northeastern United States.



Nurse-Family Partnership Featured in PBS Series
On January 4, the Nurse-Family Partnership was featured in the first installment of the three-part PBS series, This Emotional Life. This episode explored the relationships and social connections that are central to people's well-being. (Check your local listings for additional air times.) P/PV manages the replication of Nurse-Family Partnership throughout the northeastern US.



Growing What Works: Lessons Learned from Pennsylvania's Nurse-Family Partnership Initiative

Children's Futures
P/PV is conducting an evaluation of this Trenton, NJ, initiative, which aims to increase access to prenatal and other health services, parenting skills education and childcare.

Replication of Nurse-Family Partnership
Found to produce substantial and enduring improvements in the health and well-being of low-income first-time mothers and their children, this program now operates in over half of all U.S. states.

Replication of Plain Talk
The Plain Talk program seeks to increase parental involvement and adult/teen communication about sex. P/PV developed Plain Talk's national replication, including the creation of implementation and training materials, site selection and data collection.
